ALEX Theater is proud to present 'SOUNDS & STORIES' with Hannah Stak.

Sit back and listen to these amazing songwriters and musicians perform thier 'SOUNDS & STORIES'

Morgan Mecaskey- This American musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist living in Cleveland, Ohio. Her music is a heart and head experience for the listener: earnest lyrics delve into metaphysical questions while vivid soundscapes, whimsical motifs, and fat beats build the bold and beguiling music.

Madeline Finn- comes from a background in Pop-Punk and has a love for Blues and Americana music. She has set out to marry the soul of the old time standards along with the presence of heavy hitting hard rock.

Austin Stambaugh- A raw vocal and gifted multi-instrumentalist, is convicted as a dash of humor. His debut EP Blood In My Mouth -described as a grassroots compilation of imprecise soul and raw honesty- was released in the spring of 2016 on the artist's website. His songs tell the human condition and shadow his bible-belt ancestry. As a child, Austin was brought up listening to his family's gospel quartet. Austin is a published poet, accomplished songwriter, and is looking to connect with listeners and share the human experience through song.

Cory Grinder- Cory Grinder got his start in the NE Ohio music scene by co-fronting Akron hillbilly band, Johnny & the Apple Stompers, mostly singing harmonies and playing fiddle. With that group he produced and recorded three albums after gaining audio engineering experience in Tennessee. Shortly after, he joined Ohio honky tonkers, Rodney and the Regulars, on fiddle. Cory decided to start a new honky tonk band featuring his own original songs. Now his group, The Cory Grinder Band, are preparing to put out their debut album, "Cahoots and Other Favorites," produced by grammy nominated producer/engineer David Mayfield, in early summer of 2018. Featuring pedal steel guitar and upright bass, The Cory Grinder Band plays hard hitting country music inspired by artists like Merle Haggard. Outside of his band,Cory is often playing fiddle for many local groups and has a 50's style rock n roll project in the works.
